Getting To and From School

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike-racks.

We have campaigned for many years to have improved road features installed outside of our school and these have recently been installed in the form of a school safety zone, school keep clear markings, double yellow lines and a zebra crossing. The safety of our children is our greatest priority and we have asked for signs outside of the school to remind drivers that the speed limit is 20 MPH speed limit. These have also now been installed. We continue to promote the Park and Stride facility for parents to use at the start and end of the school day and ask that people do not park in the adjacent streets. There is ample parking a short walk away from school at the Park and Stride facility.

Disabled Access

Our school was built to ensure it is fully compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).  A hearing loop can be provided through our main school office and there is allocated parking clearly marked in our visitors car park.

Safety in the Car Park

Please make sure you follow the arrows when coming in and leaving the car park to keep the traffic flowing. Please only park in the marked spaces, not in the disabled spaces unless you display a disabled badge, or in the traffic flow areas.
